all about me

how about here..

I am in my final year of my Bachelor of Education degree, in the Middle Years Program.  I love middle years kids!  I’m interning this fall, in Moose Jaw, in grade 8.  As well, I am currently working toward my Inclusive Education Certificate.  I am passionate about students with social/behaviour needs.  When I have completed my degree I hope to teach and learn alongside students with these special needs.  I love teaching and learning in an environment where things change quickly, where, though I may be planned, I never really know what direction learning might take us.  Teaching and learning where change happens often is calming, and I’ve come to realise this is an adaptation I need as a teacher, because I am rarely still myself. 

 I live in Moose Jaw with my daughter, Jessy Lee, who is the most amazing creature alive!  She is a wonderful grade seven student, an aggressive soccer center-midfielder, and a voracious reader, she would also like to me to share that she will see be taller than her mother soon (she is already 5’2 1/2” at age 12 1/2).   We are a great team: The Brown Eyed Girls.  She calls me her Pukey Mom, Pukey Mom because I’m here for her when she is sick (and on the side-lines during her games, and here to read Room on the Broom for the hundredth time before bed).  It is the only label that pleases me.
